Forrest Gump is a simple, unintelligent man who faces a lot of challenges growing up like wearing leg braces and even being shot. Despite all these tribulations, he maintains a good heart and believes that good things will eventually happen in his life. He’s in love with his only friend Jenny. Later on in his life he joins the army, finds new best friends, wins numerous medals and achieves many great accomplishments. Despite all these achievements, Forrest’s greatest desire is to see Jenny again and prove his love for her.

The soundtrack mainly features music from Alan Silvestri. Most of the songs were composed specifically for this film and include “I’m Forrest… Forrest Gump” and “You Can’t Sit Here”.
