All American Soundtrack [2018]

Anyone know the name of the song @ 3:30 into the episode that plays in the background as Ms. James meets Principal Carter at the house? First line you can hear when she walks in is "I know exactly what you're doing". Then you hear "Don't want to assume it" a few verses later, but I can't find the artist that sings this particular song. Any help is much appreciated!
