For over a decade, these films have captivated audiences, filling rooms with laughter, shock, and even a few tears through their themes of love and the importance of family. What also makes these movies special and exciting are the soundtracks curated to set the tone of each scene. While it may be hard to choose, here’s a list of the best songs from the Fast and Furious movies.

"Tokyo Drift" - Teriyaki Boyz

Starting strong with the song “Tokyo Drift” by Teriyaki Boyz, which was featured in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. The distinctive bells at the beginning of the song immediately evoke memories of the film. The song is ideal for the movie, as it perfectly captures the essence of the setting in Tokyo and aligns with the local culture, tying everything together for the audience.

"Furious" - Ja Rule

The closing credits in The Fast and the Furious incorporate the song “Furious” by Ja Rule. This perfectly exemplifies the mood in the closing scene, where Dom, played by the actor Vin Diesel, and Brian, played by the actor Paul Walker, are in an intense race, leading to Dom crashing into a moving semi-truck. The anger that filled the scene is tied with the song, as the lyrics exemplify the scene's mood.

Nothing like celebrating a big win with an upbeat Latin hit like “Danza Kudoro” by Don Omar featuring Lucenzo. The Latin beat can get anyone dancing and put a smile on their face. This is shown in the scene in Fast Five, where the characters celebrate after a successful mission and plan their next vacations to prolong their celebrations.

"Pump It Up" - Joe Budden

The hit 2003 song “Pump It Up” by Joe Budden plays in 2 Fast 2 Furious as the characters work on their cars preparing for a race. The song is perfect for this scene, as they are tuning up their cars for the next race, or one can say “pumping up” their cars, making it an ideal choice for the moment.

"Oye" - Pitbull

Racing to the next event in the scene from 2 Fast 2 Furious, is Brian and Monica, who is played by the actress Eva Mendes. As Brian drives, he tries to impress Monica by making his signature “star and drive” move. Looking into her eyes while the gas to the floor keeps the audience on the edge of their seats, eagerly waiting to see if he successfully shows off his driving skill. He successfully pulled off his unique skill while “Oye” by Pitbull played in the background. The upbeat Latin song is ideal for this scene as the tempo matches the anticipation the audience feels while watching.

"Act a Fool" - Ludacris

Engines are revving, and people are crowded around as everyone prepares for the big race in 2 Fast 2 Furious. As the preparations are underway, “Act A Fool” by Ludacris, who also stars in the movie, plays in the background. The lyrics “Act A Fool” are perfect for this scene, as the characters get ready to do just that during their race.

"See You Again" - Wiz Khalifa (feat. Charlie Puth)

In memory of Paul Walker, who passed away in 2013 in a tragic car crash, the last scene ever between the characters Brian and Dominic is shown in Furious 7. The tear-jerking scene pulls at your heartstrings as the song “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth plays. The song creates a reminiscent ambiance and amplifies the sadness of the moment between the two characters as they part ways in the scene, driving down two different roads. The scene and the song together are especially emotional due to the real-life circumstances surrounding Walker’s death before this scene was filmed.
