Tammie performs a stage presentation of her idea, Goldbug. When she sees Verna, she starts to lose it and throws the mic stand at her, hitting Juno in the head. Verba disappears into smoke when Madeline tries to catch her after spotting her at the end of the hallway.

There are speculations that Roderick wants to leave the board. He instructs Pym to take any and all steps required to secure the board's support, and Madeline explains that Freddie is the pivotal vote and a crucial component of the plan.
When Roderick admits to having signed the consent paperwork, his evidence takes a surprising turn. Auggie is confused by Roderick's abrupt change in narrative and requests that his lawyer ask Roderick if Griswold put any pressure on him.
Verna tells Madeline that she is one of her favorites during their talk.
After telling Roderick that Freddie has passed away, Madeline gives him a bottle of Ligodone. He follows her advice to take all of the pills. Verna suddenly materializes, takes his hand, and forces him to cough up the pills he'd taken, reviving him.

When Roderick spots Annabel in the church, he inquires as to her whereabouts. She responds that because he was wealthy, he took the kids away from her.
Roderick and Madeline are welcomed by Rufus at the Fortunato New Year's Eve celebration.
On New Year's Eve in 1980, Roderick, Verna, and Madeline are conversing with one another.
Verna assures Roderick and Madeline that their life of luxury will be free from legal repercussions. She informs them that when luck meets opportunity, Roderick will soon become the CEO of Fortunato. The bloodline perishes with Roderic's passing, but they gain the entire planet.
